Skilled team members are Penmann’s greatest asset – introducing Calvin Sargeant

The newest addition to our growing team is not only fully on board with our ethos and principles but he brings vital new thinking and abilities too. We are taking the opportunity to introduce Calvin Sargeant to the clients and business contacts who may not already have met him. Over the next few months we will be showcasing other team members whose vital work keeps us at the forefront of our industry.

Calvin is an Incorporated Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the construction sector. He worked as an Engineering Design Consultant for the last 6 years, joining Penmann in June this year. His role and responsibility is for the delivery of technical design solutions for a diverse range of production issues faced by Penmann’s large and growing client base.

Key Areas of Expertise:

Calvin is experienced in all things design, from Project inception and feasibility, through to commissioning and handover. He is capable of conceptualising design solutions and producing detailed design drawings using modern design software; with consideration for regulatory compliance, hygienic design requirements and ongoing maintenance.


Calvin’s focus is to ensure Penmann consistently delivers energy efficient, innovative and cost effective design solutions; meeting specific design criteria, assisting our Clients with compliance and ultimately ensuring safe and reliable production conditions can be achieved.


Calvin’s ambition is to ensure Penmann is predominant as a leading expert in the UK food industry for process cooling and ventilation systems; whilst working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration with the Engineering Council.
